I have lost addons that use Simconnect, such as Active Sky, Fltplan Go, and Chaseplane. None connect to the sim. I do not recall making any changes to the installation lately.

  1. Active Sky is one of the best weather engines for Prepar3D v4 for the time being. One of the coolest features is the Conditions page. Here you can just type the ICAO code of the airport you are departing or flying to and it will give you all the information you need about the specific airport.
  2. Aug 21, 2017 New member. Hi, I'm new to Prepar3d and flight sims in general. On the download page I downloaded the full version/trial of Active Sky for Prepar3D v4 and after installation I ran the program and clicked on request a trial key but was taken to a 'opps page not found'.
  3. Yesterday all was ok but today active sky (Build 6517) crashes P3D all the time when it starts injecting the weather. Btw: when I don't start Active Sky P3D runs just fine I already did a full reinstall. Here is a crash report:  Version=1 EventType=APPCRASH EventTime=00385243 ReportType=2 Consent=1 UploadTime=05494428.

So far I have deleted my p3d.cfg file, performed a repair of the client and then the application itself, and then also uninstalled SimConnect Client v10.0.6x (three installations in control panel), then reinstalled from the redist folder. Nothing has worked, and I am about to flush the entire hard drive = hoping someone can help!
ASP3D Update Officially Released

Hi, I'm new to Prepar3d and flight sims in general. On the download page I downloaded the full version/trial of Active Sky for Prepar3D v4 and after installation I ran the program and clicked on request a trial key but was taken to a 'opps page not found'. If you have Active Sky installed, the key will be automatically located. If Active Sky is not installed, you will need to manually enter it. The previous-version Active Sky key is entered AFTER entering your ActiveSky P3D Key. For Prepar3D v5 and Prepar3D v4 Includes v5.1 and HF1+ Support!

I had my first flight in the PMDG 777-300 with AS16 and ASCA out of KJFK. On that first flight there were clouds and precipitation and there it all was on the WX radar, all in the right places. That was just awe-inspiring. Just a sensational product.
The dynamic forming of cloud structures cannot be described in words, it has literally transformed the skies for me! The effect of the clouds wisping over my propeller, oh man! It’s like I could stick my head out the window.

Using AS16 in the cruise in a CB-laden area for the the first time ever as far as I know. We can all now experience the forward planning and real-time decision making that takes place in the cruise on airline flights when there are thunderstorms around. You have opened up a whole new aspect to flight simming – many thanks!
I just wanted to extend a shout out to you all for your hard work. I have been a true HiFi Active Sky customer since the 6.5 days. Currently I am in my first flight in live real time mode running AS16 for P3D on a remote laptop. And my first impressions are WOW!!! Your products just keep getting better and better. Money very well spent.
